Region 5 will have a bowfishing event on the weekend of May 18th at Rend Lake Illinois. Camping spots are available at the South Marcum Camp Ground. A fish fry and pot luck dinner will be held at 4:00 pm on the that Saturday, so bring a side dish and join in on the fun

Join us at the 2013 Summer Shoot which will again be held at Sam Parr State Fish and Wildlife Area in Newton IL.  Our UBI shoot will be held in conjunction with the Southeastern IL Bowhunters, traditional only, 3-D target shoot which is set up at Sam Parr that weekend.  Tent camping is available on-site at the shoot area and the park has again sectioned off a large area specifically for this event. If you would like to camp in an RV or Camper, those sites are also available across the lake.  Sam Parr park has 2 miles of foot trails and a lake that boasts some great fishing.  If you have a boat (10hp max) or a canoe, bring it along and feel free to visit the IDNR website for more information about the park. 

 

Saturday:  Two separate courses, each consisting of twenty 3-D targets will be set up for shooters.  Sign up starts at 7AM and getting through the courses will take two to three hours.  The 3-D course will close at 4:30PM.  The UBI will also be setting up a team (two person) scrimmage clay target shoot at 1PM. 

 

At 5PM we will have a group dinner.  We will provide drinks, sides and desserts so just bring your appetite.  Following dinner we will hold a board & membership meeting. 

 

Sunday:  The 3-D courses will again open up at 7AM and close at 1:00PM. Shooting with a different bow will allow a shooter to submit a second score.

This year region 4 will be holding a two day event; A 3-D shoot on September 21st & 22nd will be held here at our property. It will consist of approximately 25 targets, mostly 3-D and some burlap.

Region 3 will host the Eagle Creek Fall Rendezvous on October 18, 19, and 20  2013  It is at Eagle Creek State Park on Lake Shelbyville near Findlay , Illinois.  There will be deer and  turkey hunting in the park and the surrounding Federal corps ground.  We will have 3D targets on the lighted practice range.  Saturday night potluck.  Great weekend with great people.  Come join us.
